Join us December 12
The Dallas Alumni Chapter is excited to announce that our beloved philanthropy event is still on for 2020. We invite you to take Cookies & Castles, Home for the Holidays. Mark your calendars for December 12th. For 13 years, Cookies & Castles has kicked off our holiday season with a weekend full of sweet treats and smiles. For the safety of our guests and the patients at Scottish Rite Hospital, we are going to bring the celebration to your home. The Cookies & Castles committee is hard at work creating fun, holiday party packages of gingerbread houses, candy, icing and all the supplies you'll need for your at-home Gingerbread Extravaganza. We hope you will join us for Cookies & Castles again this year as we continue to support the prosthetics department at Scottish Rite for Children and our sisters through the Tri Delta Foundation. Orders will open at the end of this month, stay tuned for more package and at-home party details. Know a Delta Sister who would want to join us as an event sponsor? Email us at
Scottish Rite for Children is one of the nation’s leading pediatric orthopedic centers. A wide range of orthopedic conditions are treated, including sports injuries and fractures, as well as certain arthritic, neurological and learning disorders, such as dyslexia. Patients receive treatment regardless of the family’s ability to pay. For more information about services available at the Dallas or Frisco campus, volunteering or donating, visit scottishriteforchildren.org
The Orthotics & Prosthetics department at Scottish Rite provides state-of-the-art, custom-made orthoses and prostheses for patients with special orthopedic needs. Did you know that the cost of one prosthetic can range from $5,000 to $30,000, depending on the complexity? Children grow quickly, therefore a prosthetic needs to be adjusted about every three months and replaced every 15 months. The team at Scottish Rite for Children is on-site (in both Dallas and Frisco) and has the ability collaborate with doctors, therapists and other medical staff during the child’s visit. There are only a few facilities like this in the country!
Prosthetic care at Scottish Rite is interdisciplinary - patients and families are able to work with an entire team of experts for the highest level of care. Orthopedics, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, psychology, family services, and child life all collaborate together with one goal – the child.
At Scottish Rite for Children, providing convenient, world-class care is at the forefront of our mission. Whether a common or complex condition, having a team of experts dedicated to every aspect of your child’s care is necessary to get them back to doing what they love.
Tri Delta’s Foundation raises funds to provide transformational programs, scholarships and emergency financial support to empower our sisters for a lifetime. We invest in women. With nearly 250,00 members worldwide, we are sisters helping sisters. Donors to Tri Delta’s Foundation provide funding for educational initiatives designed to enhance our members’ lives and help them develop qualities of unselfish leadership. Recent additions to our educational initiatives include our mental health program (Behind Happy Faces), sexual assault prevention education, and our Life After College program.
The Dallas Alumni Chapter is proud to announce that our 2019 Cookies & Castles events raised over $145,000 for Scottish Rite for Children and the Tri Delta Foundation!
The Cookies & Castles team wanted to send a special thank you for all the Deltas who supported, attended and brought their families to the event!
We can't wait to kick off the holiday season with you all again this year! Stay tuned for a special announcement coming soon about the 2020 event!
